A few days ago I was walking through a forest when a little boy, no older than five, ran past me with a huge smile on his face. As he disappeared between the trees he shouted,
"I'm going on an adventure!"
I found myself smiling for the rest of my walk.
It wasn't simply what he said—it was how he said it. There was no fear of the unknown, no need to know what lay around the next corner, just a wonderful openness to life.
It made me wonder...
Perhaps we don't need fixing at all. Perhaps we've simply forgotten how to approach life with the openness, curiosity and wonder we once had as children.
Somewhere along the way, many of us become caught up in the stories we tell ourselves about who we are. We hold on to worries, tensions and old patterns so tightly that they begin to feel like part of our identity. Yet yoga gently reminds us that we can meet life in another way—not by trying to become someone different, but by rediscovering a quieter, lighter and more present way of being.
I'd love to invite you to join me for a special Inner Healing Yoga Masterclass on:
Saturday 16th August
10.00am – 12.30pm
Upper Harlestone Village Institute - NN7 4EH
£25
Throughout the morning we'll explore gentle Hatha Yoga, conscious breathing, flowing movement, sound, playful practices and deep relaxation. Together we'll create a space where the mind can soften, the body can let go, and we can reconnect with a sense of lightness, joy and wonder.
This isn't about performing perfect postures.
It isn't about striving to become a better version of yourself.
It's an invitation to pause, to breathe, to explore and perhaps to remember what it feels like to meet life as an adventure once again.
If something in these words speaks to you, I'd love you to come and share the morning with me.
With love,
David Cosserat

"I'm going on an adventure." Perhaps that's exactly what yoga invites us to do.
